CABRA TO WEAR PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

The Cabramatta Two-Blues will shelve the traditional sky blue and navy hooped jersey for their Round 16 clash with Wentworthville on Sunday, July 27th, opting to wear a specially made Pink jumper in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. The initiative, which will see the Club hopefully raise over $10,000, has been well supported and will hopefully attract a big crowd to New Era Stadium. All pink jumpers worn on the day will be signed and sold for $250 each, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. If you are interested in purchasing a pink jumper, email bwoodhead@cabramattarlc.com.au as the jumpers are being sold on a first in basis.

EELS STARS RETURN HOME

Parramatta Eels and New Zealand superstar Krisnan Inu, together with Eels first grade stars Matt & Kris Keating will return home to where it all began for the trio as they put the Cabramatta Junior Rugby League Club sides through their paces at New Era Stadium on Thursday, 3rd of July from 5pm.

The players, all of which are Cabramatta Juniors and are actively involved in the Club, are hoping to show the young juniors that they too were juniors of Cabramatta, and through hard work and perseverance, it is achievable to reach their dreams of one day playing in the NRL.

Football Club President Paul Metcalfe applauded the players on the initiative, saying they are always happy to give their time and assist the Club, and it is great that they want to be involved and give back to the juniors.
“These three haven’t forgotten their roots, they are always happy to come and help out and this is just another example of what terrific young men they have become,” he said. “The kids look up to these guys and aspire to be like them, so we will have a lot of happy teams after Thursday.”

Krisnan Inu, Matt Keating and Kris Keating have also committed to attending the Clubs Sports Luncheon on Friday July 11th as guest speakers, joining the likes of Parramatta and St George great Steve Edge, Australian Olympic Basketball star Natalie Porter and hilariously funny comedian Tahir as part of an all star cast on the day. Limited Tickets are available from the Club for $65 on 9727 8788. Click here for more details.
